VISUAL: This is a good starter, with one humanoid arm (left) with claws, one tentacles arm (right), and very large sheep haunches and cloven feet (like a satyr).
AURAL: John has a very deep voice, uncommonly flat, with unnatural reverberation. It's very clearly not human.
OLFACTORY: John smells like ozone, cold wind, lake water, and just a whiff of this.
DEMEANOUR: slightly grumpy golden retriever; very dry sense of humor and incredibly genuine.
