John has a stalker. He tries very very hard not to be noticeable about it, taking the shape of birds or a cat or some small creature that can move along the seams of buildings without being given much thought. At one point he shapes himself into a butterfly just to see if he can.
But yeah, John has a stalker, one with the vibe of a feral Harriet the Spy.
The useful part of Yellow huffing off into the sky the other day is that it taught him how to do something like that. Which is why he's going to put up with this shit for exactly an hour of this before he waits for just the right moment...
And suddenly a rat is skittering into an alley and through a small hole in a wall.
He races after John without thinking about it, so caught up in the sudden disappearance of his target that he doesn't think twice about what John turning into a rat and running off means. Yellow just uses the same shape to keep pace and darts through the same opening after him.
They are in a corner of a warehouse, or so it looks, and as soon as he comes skittering through as a mouse, he will be scooped up by a tentacle.
"Hello."
His tone doesn't sound angry or maniacal. It just sounds like his glowing yellow eyes are rolling. Really. The mask could literally have 'why are you like this' written on it.
He backs up, shadows stretching into a shape that solidifies into the human shape he's been using, and then shifts again until he looks more like John does now. Yellow doesn't want to look human in front of John when he doesn't look human. He doesn't want to look weaker.
He growls right back, the posturing of an animal trying not to cede territory. He's frustrated and embarrassed and nervous and he barely even knows which of the knotted up buzzy emotions in his chest apply to those words. There's so many.
"B- Because I fucking- Because you- Because..." Why is he following John? All his reasons are embarrassing. "Because I want to know why you're better than me!"
And as soon as he yells that he turns into a sparrow and tries for the nearest window.
John isn't going to stop him. Instead, he's going to growl, turn into a rat, and slip back through the hole again. Hopefully he can make an escape while Yellow is trying to get away from him.
The voice in Yellow's mind is growling and annoyed but he'll know from his own voice that it's not feral or angry.
[ You told me to keep away. So I'm keeping away! What the fuck do you want from me? ] Beat. [ I know what you said but that's ridiculous so I don't know what the fuck you mean. ]
He is still bird shaped, though he trades up to a crow for something that doesn't have to flap as hard to keep pace with the other entity. He doesn't say anything immediately in answer, but there's an air of profound skepticism along the psychic wavelength of his silence.
He gives a furious corvid shriek and divebombs John's head.
[ No you don't! Shut up! Stop it! You don't know, you weren't there, that's the one- one thing I know that you don't know, stop saying you know when you have no idea.]

/d100 roll = 52! Yellow's 'Fighting (Brawling)' score is not high enough for his roll. The teeth slip past, but he'll put the little rat down as another tentacle blocks the hole. Fine, he won't hold you but you're not leaving.
"...you want to explain what the hell you're doing?"

Arthur was... not entirely himself in Addison. And a lot of the things he said were just to be cruel. ]
He's back to being his usual self outside, in the street again. But this is fine.

He's not going to bother about the bird. He's just going to go about his business.
[So if that's your only reason, you can leave.]
